Trying to plan a trip to Fort Wilderness with our RV. Never been to Disney. All suggestions welcome. Check in/out times? Are dogs permitted at all sites? Can we bring our own golf cart? Are there pull through sites? Who can I talk to to book?

As they say in the wilderness, "Howdy Scarlett!"

Thanks so much for moseying along to planDisney with such a great question for us to help you with concerning your 1st ever visit to the magic and enchantment of Walt Disney World Resort!

Although a camping trip to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is most definitely an item on my Disney bucket list.  I have been lucky enough to have enjoyed multiple stays at The Fort with my own family within the rustic home-away-from-home-sweet-home Wilderness Cabins

My whole family adores the peaceful tranquility of staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and yet this gorgeous wildlife haven is only a short boat ride away from the razzamatazz of the Magic Kingdom Park!

In answer to all your great questions about planning a trip in your RV to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, I'm happy to share that -

     - Typically, check-in is at 1 pm and check-out at 11 am for campers at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  However, should you arrive a little early for your check-in time, it is possible to park your RV within the large over-spill parking lot.

     - At the point of booking, for a small additional fee, Guests may request dog-friendly loops at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

     - Guests are more than welcome to bring their own golf carts for use at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort!  However, prior to arrival, it might be worthwhile taking a peek at the current Rules and Regulations for Vehicles, Carts, and Recreational Devices.

     - Plus, Guests are welcome to utilise Golf Cart Rentals - 4 Person during their stays at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

     - At present Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground offers campers 4 different sites suitable for RVs - Full Hook-up Campsite, Preferred Campsite, and for larger style RVs - Premium Campsite, and Premium Meadow Campsite.

     - To the best of my current knowledge, campsites are not considered pull-through designs at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

It should be fairly straightforward to connect with a Cast Member to make a reservation at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, by dialling the telephone number for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations contained within this Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory.

Scarlett, I hope that I've been able to provide a little zip-a-dee-doo-dah information, and insight today to help make your first-ever visit to the most magical place on earth extra pixie-dusted!  If I can help you with any other enquiries, then please do pop back to me here at planDisney.

Have a great Disney ~ Jane
