Hi Andrea! I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! November is such a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy all of the holiday decor and festivities during the most magical time of year!
With a family of six, you have several options available at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. My first recommendation is the family suites at
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Both of these suites can sleep up to six adults. I was just in a family suite at All-Star Music last week, and I was totally impressed by how spacious they are!
You could also reserve two rooms at any of the
Walt Disney World Resort hotels and then
call to ask to have your reservations linked, along with a request for connecting or adjoining rooms. This would give you more options for both theme and budget, if you are open to separate rooms. While room requests are not guaranteed and based upon availability, Cast Members at the resort will do their best to accommodate your wishes for an adjoining or connecting room, if possible.
Another option is the
Deluxe Villa Resorts, which offer larger, more luxurious accommodations, particularly in the two-bedroom villas. This option would give you the comforts of home, like a full kitchen, living room, and washer/dryer. I truly feel like I'm in my home away from home when I stay in a Deluxe Villa!
Since you plan to visit during Thanksgiving week, I recommend making your reservations as soon as possible. It can be a very popular week, so availability may be limited. You are also approaching the 60-day mark before your arrival, and on that day, you can make
table service reservations. You’ll want to make sure you’re ready to secure those dining reservations since some of the most popular locations will book quickly.
Bonus tip: I highly recommend considering
Liberty Tree Tavern that week. It’s one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort any time of the year, but it’s perfect during Thanksgiving week! The family-style meal includes many traditional Thanksgiving favorites, and the Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake is easily my favorite dessert in all of Walt Disney World!
Andrea, I hope this helps you make plans for a wonderful week during a truly magical season at Walt Disney World! If you have any more questions, be sure to
come back and see me. I’m always here to help you plan a visit that is
practically perfect in every way!See you on Main Street,
Casey
