I am trying to plan a trip for my family during 2018. I am planning around school schedules without going when it is SOOO hot in the summer. Would you recommend the first week in April or the week of Thanksgiving to avoid the worst crowds?

    Hello, Jill!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

I TOTALLY understand why you would ask this question! I have five kids in school, AND my family loves to experience Disney in more comfortable temperatures. Based on the two weeks you are looking to plan your vacation, I would definitely pick the first week in April. (If fact, I am actually going this exact week with my Senior daughter!) While it might be crowded, there is NO WAY it will be as crowded as it will be the week of Thanksgiving! My family went to Walt Disney World the week before Thanksgiving, and the crowd and weather were amazing! However, our trip overlapped Thanksgiving week two days, and the crowds were out of control! I have looked at some of the crowd calendars for the first week in April, and it looks like that after Tuesday, the crowd calendar peaks at a seven.

I hope this helps in your planning! If you have other questions, please let us know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
