Hello - I am trying to plan a trip for the end of September with 7 adults and 1 child but I cannot get the hotels to split rooms. Is there a way to do that? We would rather not have a suite for everyone. We are fine with multiple rooms.

    Hey Debi!

    Welcome to planDisney!

The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort are a favorite in our household. We love being immersed in the Magic and just steps away from both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Our two favorites are Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Disneyland Hotel. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has an elegant craftsman feel with some of the best dining on property. It’s connected to Disney California Adventure park which is very convenient! The Disneyland Hotel has that classic Disneyland Park feel to it and really makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of the Magic. No matter where you choose, you’ll get access to Early Entry where you’ll get to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park 30 minutes before its scheduled opening time.

When trying to book a hotel room for a party of 8 guests, the reservation system thinks that you all want to stay in the same room. I do see that there is no option to select two rooms but you do have a couple of options to secure two hotel rooms and not one of the suites that the system is offering you. You could call and make your reservation by phone which would allow you to take care of all the details together. The other option, if you want to book online, is that you could make two separate reservations and split the members in your group according to how they will be staying in the rooms. For example, you could make a reservation with 5 guests in one room and another with 3 guests in the other. You could also do 4 guests in one room and 4 guests in the other, etc.

Well Debi, if you have any other planning needs you know where to find us.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
