I am trying to plan our trip for the end of May 2017. As we will have little ones do we need to purchase the park hopper to be able to leave the park go back to our hotel, and then return for the evening?

    Hi Katie,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I remember traveling with my daughter when she was little, and taking that midday break with her was so important. Letting her nap and be refreshed for the evening made all of our lives much happier!

Even without the Park Hopper option on your Disney theme park tickets, you will be able to leave and re-enter the same theme park on the same day. You would need the Park Hopper option if you wanted to head to a different theme park after your break.

I am not sure how little your children are, but there is a great resource for planning your trip to Walt Disney World with little ones online. Do check it out for help with your planning.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Katie! Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
