Hi, trying to plan a trip for early next year. Was thinking March would be good, but I heard it was really busy that whole month? So maybe April 1-7 or 8-14? Just me and two teen boys 18, 15. But hurricane season starts April 1st? What do I do?

Hi Fiona! You have picked the perfect spot for a mom and two teenage boys to have a blast together. Enjoy zooming down Space Mountain, eating Mickey ice cream, and cruising with Caribbean pirates together during your stay.

March can be a busy month at Walt Disney World due to the fabulous weather and college spring breaks, but I believe you will find the earlier part of this month quite manageable. The two weeks you want to try to avoid the most are the weeks before and after Easter when schools tend to be out for spring break. Families flock to WDW when their children are on holiday so these two weeks surrounding Easter, which falls on March 31st in 2013, tend to be a popular time. The week of April 8-14 should be a good one since most spring breakers will head home by April 7th. As a coastal resident who has sat through the eye of multiple hurricanes I can assure you there is no need to be concerned about the possibility of a tropical storm threat in April.

Please contact me if you have any additional questions about where to stay, eat, or any other aspect of your trip.
