Hi! I am trying to plan a trip to Disneyworld for my daughters birthday. I am trying to figure out how many ticket days I should buy. I dont want the park hoppers and we will only be going to the theme parks. Also is it best to stay on property or off?

Hi, Courtney!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you will be celebrating your daughter's birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort!  I would be happy to help you plan a vacation that is practically perfect in every way!

First, let's talk about where you will stay during your visit.  I would highly recommend staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.  There are so many benefits to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, including complimentary transportation, access to Extra Magic Hours, and early access to FastPass+ planning.  With a wide variety of price levels, room types, and themes, there is a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to meet everyone's needs.  Perhaps the best benefit of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is that you are still immersed in the magic, even when you leave the theme parks.

Speaking of the theme parks, if your family only wishes to visit one park per day, you will just need to purchase the basic one park per day tickets.  As for which parks you want to visit and how many days you will go, that is really your personal preference.  I would suggest you do some resEARch on the Walt Disney World website to see what attractions and entertainment offerings your family is most interested in.  This should help you with planning your trip itinerary.

During a typical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, my family tends to spend two days at Magic Kingdom Park and one full day at each of the other three theme parks.  We also like to factor in some down-time at our resort hotel and plan a visit to Disney Springs.  However, your perfect pixie-dusted vacation might look quite different based on your own family's interests.  As you plan for your trip, be sure to take advantage of all the helpful online planning tools that are available.
