I am trying to plan a trip to Disney World with our 5 year old daughter for her first visit. I am a little overwhelmed with all the technical planning that is involved these days. Any tips on where to begin or things I must include? 😊

    Hi Karen,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be fun, and planning a first-time visit for your little one is especially exciting!

One great place to begin is to check out the Free Planning Videos for a fun view of all the magic.

When it comes to the planning details, I think the best tip is to simply focus first on the main four questions: where you're staying, how many days you're visiting parks, where you're dining, and which attractions and experiences you want to reserve in advance. In fact, if you sign in to your My Disney Experience account, you'll see these same four areas — Resort Hotel, Park Tickets, Dining, and FastPass+ — on your "My Plans" page. Your "My Plans" page will even guide you through the process of booking hotel reservations, purchasing theme park tickets, making dining reservations, and choosing FastPass+ selections.

I also recommend the Tickets & Visit Guide for great suggestions designed with you in mind. You'll see specific suggestions for first-time visitors as well as suggestions for little ones. You'll also see suggestions for visiting during the holiday season such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

If your daughter has a favorite Disney Character friend, you can check out the Character Dining experiences, or you can meet up with her favorite friends for hugs.

Karen, here's wishing you all a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!
