We are trying to plan a trip to Disney next January for a Christmas present. My middle son was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder a few years ago and get over stimulated at times. Does disney offer areas that are calm and quiet?

Martha, Christmas and Disney are meant to be together. The magic of gathering and family just goes together like the milk and cookies we leave out for the big guy.

Giving the gift of a Walt Disney World vacation is a gift that will deliver memories for years to come. Making sure the whole crew is comfortable is something as a Dad I try to keep everyone happy. We have a couple of our favorite off-the-beaten-path locations where the noise of the parks is at a minimum or gone altogether. In Magic Kingdom Park near Casey's Corner is the Baby Care Center. These are available at each of the 4 parks and provide a quiet place for young children to be taken care of. They are also very quiet and tucked away from all of the moving and noises of the park. In EPCOT one of my favorite quiet locations besides the Baby Care Center is in the back of the United Kingdom Pavilion near the back there are some nice benches and a small maze to refocus your little guy. While visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios I would recommend a little area off to the side of the Star Wars: Launch Bay, there are some benches and an area I utilized heavily during 2021 when I visited during the pandemic to get relief from wearing my mask throughout the park. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is littered with small little paths so you can escape the crowds. I especially like the Discovery Island Trails section, these tranquil pathways are away from all the sights and sounds and can certainly provide those breaks for you and your entire family.

Those Baby Care Centers were heaven when we needed the quiet time when our little ones were overloaded and I'm sure you will be able to take advantage of these areas and the other ones I mentioned for your trip. Have a magical day,
