Hi April! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort is spectacular! The magic of the holiday season starts in early November so you can absolutely have an amazing Thanksgiving vacation with a Disney Christmas spin!
We spent a few days at
The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge over the Thanksgiving break last year and it was AMAZING! The decorations were breathtaking and our family photo in front of the magnificent Christmas tree was our holiday card for family and friends.
An absolute must for your visit is
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party - a separate ticket event that takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park throughout November and December. You'll get in the real Christmas spirit with snow flurries on Main Street, U.S.A., Disney characters decked out in holiday attire, and Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade.
A 2-bedroom villa at most Disney Vacation Club resorts will accommodate up to 9 people so there's plenty of room for a large family with at least 2 bathrooms, a living area, a washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. Some of my favorites are The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village, Disney’s Boardwalk Villas and Disney’s Old Key West. If you want to be close to Magic Kingdom, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort or The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are your best bets.
Sending you Pixie Dust for happy planning!
