I am trying to plan a trip in April for my 6yr (son) 7yr (daughter). I have been debating about which moderate hotel to stay at. I have heard from friends they liked the Caribbean Resort and then I have heard about the Port Orleans Riverside.Whats recom'd?

    Hi Shannon,

You have come to the right place with this great question! I have stayed at both resorts and it is a tough call! The Caribbean Beach Resort is great because they offer the Pirates Room (which my two boys loved!) but the Port Orleans Riverside is also amazing because they feature the Royal Guest Room (which is a princess themed room my daughter went nuts for!). So what will it be - Pirates or Princesses!

Seriously though, if I had to pick one from the two, I would definitely pick the Port Orleans Riverside and here is why: 1) You can take a Water Taxi to Downtown Disney, 2) You can ride a horse drawn carriage (reservations recommended);  and 3) You can visit the Port Orleans - French Quarter (which is next door) and try the fabulous beignets!

Regardless of which one you choose, remember its Disney, so you won't be disappointed!
