I am trying to get a plan together for 2021 fall or 2022 spring for a FRIST VISIT (age 2) to Disney World. I’d like to stay close enough to the parks for a train ride to and from the parks. Any suggestions for my Minnie Mouse loving girl and her family?

Hi, Laura!  Welcome to planDisney!  It would be my pleasure to help you plan your little Mouseketeer's first trip to Walt Disney World Resort!

As you get ready for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, I would recommend taking a look at the Panel Extras section and the Video Library on our planDisney website.  There you will find tons of information on visiting Walt Disney World Resort with preschoolers.

One of my favorite tips for vacationing with little ones is to stay in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, and it sounds like you are already thinking along those lines.  Staying right in the middle of the magic allows you to easily travel back and forth between your resort hotel and the theme parks when your little princess needs an afternoon nap or some downtime by the pool.  Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort all have monorail access to Magic Kingdom Park.  Although the EPCOT monorail line has not been operating during the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, typically, with a quick transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), you can access EPCOT via monorail from these resort hotels as well.

Another great place to stay when visiting with little ones is Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  This resort hotel's larger-than-life theming is a big hit with kids, and the spacious family suites give you plenty of room to spread out.  Although Disney's Art of Animation Resort does not have monorail access, it is located along the Disney Skyliner gondola system.  The Disney Skyliner can quickly and conveniently whisk you away to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios while you enjoy some gorgeous aerial views.

Since your little girl is a fan of Minnie Mouse, I recommend checking to see what character experiences are available as it gets closer to your vacation.  I'm sure your daughter would love a character dining experience.  For both the delicious food and the fun character interactions, I highly recommend Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino's Terrace!

Laura, if you have any additional questions as your plan for your vacation, please visit us again.  Have a magical day!
