hi i am trying to plan something innexpensive to do while at WDW. We are on a tight budget and would like to do something romantic and special for our 3rd anniversary. It's our first one together (he's a national guard reservist).

    Hi, Yeritza!

You know what they say - the best things in life are free!  Let's find some great ways to stay on budget while having a special Walt Disney World vacation.

One of my favorite ways to spend a nice evening is to head to the beautiful Polynesian Resort.  When arriving, stop by the front desk to say "Aloha" and ask for a free flower lei.   Explore the tropical lobby then head to the beach.  Stroll the marina area, then walk toward the Grand Floridian. You will find a lovely stretch of beach that is usually very quiet.  Find a nice swing or hammock. Relax as you watch the Electric Water Pageant sail by then you will have a great view of Wishes! at the Magic Kingdom.  (Check at the front desk for times.)

    Other ideas:
    - Head to the Boardwalk for a nice walk, you may even catch a few glimpses of fireworks from Epcot's Illuminations.
    - Stop by the Main Street Ice Cream parlor and share a delicious ice cream sundae while the sun sets by Cinderella Castle.
    - Let the cast member know you are celebrating when you check into your resort.  See if they have a "Happy Anniversary" button for you (if not, stop by any guest service window in the parks).
    - Bring a Happy Anniversary card from home.   Stop by a few character meet and greets for a photo and have the Disney pals sign your card for a wonderful souvenir of you special occasion!

However you celebrate, make it special!  Take lots of pictures and make every moment count.  Have a magical vacation and wishing you and your Prince Charming a very "Happily Ever After!"

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
