Hello all. I am trying to plan a 4 or 5 night trip for my two daughers (13 and 8) and myself. Can someone help me understand the differences between dining plans? Is table service worth paying for? Sounds like table reservations are needed ahead of time?

    Hi Karin,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  Choosing a Disney Dining Plan (or not) depends on how much time your family would like to spend dining and if you would like to have a sit down meal everyday (or almost).  My family and I love the Table-Service restaurants, we like to sit down away from the excitement and reconnect with each other.  Because of the popularity of most Table-Service Restaurants, reservations are recommended and can be booked online or by phone 180 days prior to your vacation.

The Disney Dining Plan offers one Table-Service, one Quick-Service and one snack per night.  It is the best of both worlds; you can have a nice meal, but you have more freedom.  If your family enjoys dining together, you may want to look at the Deluxe Dining Plan.  This offers three Table-Service meals and two snacks per night.  This is a great option if you would like to experience some of the two credit Signature Dining options or dinner shows.

If your family would rather grab a quick bite to eat and head back to the theme park as quickly as possible, the Quick Service Plan may be the best option for you.  It gives each person two Quick-Service meals and one snack per night.

I'm afraid I have run out of space Karin.  If you have any other questions or would like some more specific details regarding the Disney Dining Plan, please let me know.  I would be happy to help.
