Trying to plan a holiday to Disneyland from Australia, but needing to plan in advance is complicated when I can't look at booking any tours in. How can this all be sorted, booked, well in advance so all goes smoothly

    Hello, Walter!

Welcome to planDisney! I know traveling from Australia to the Disneyland Resort really requires you to "go the distance" but if you plan ahead and have a great sidekick I know you'll have what it takes to be the hero of your magical journey.

My best recommendation for international travelers is to do a quick internet search for travel agents who specialize in trips to the Disneyland Resort from your area. A travel agent who is a Disney expert should be able to help you arrange for park tickets and reservations, make reservations at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, and give you directions on making dining reservations as well.

Booking in advance is definitely the key to success, especially when it comes to making park reservations and dining reservations. The sooner you can select an agent and get started the better off you will be! Vacation packages at the Disneyland Resort are currently available through the end of 2023, but we hope to see 2024 dates open up soon. I would get in touch with an agent now so that you can select travel dates and be ready to book when those reservations open. I'll also share that guests at the Disneyland Resort Hotels get some perks like early park entry and access to preferred dining reservation access, so those benefits are worth considering as you select your hotel for your visit.

I highly recommend asking your travel agent about tours if you're looking for something extra special! The Celebrating Disney100 at Disneyland Resort Guided Tour is new this year, and it includes some wonderful history about the parks. I also love using the Disney Parks Blog to see what the latest news is at the resorts! Check out some of these new happenings you might get to experience:

Walter, your planning is just beginning and I'm so excited to be along for the ride with you. A great travel agent will get the logistics figured out, but if you are interested in dining recommendations, favorite attractions, or other park visit tips I hope you'll send another question so I can help!

    Keep moving forward!
