hi, I am trying to plan our first WDW trip coming from Australia we are looking at deluxe dining plan as we are spending 2 weeks there but I am wondering how long does it take to be seated and get through meal normally at table service restaurant?

    Hi Melissa:

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am glad to hear you are looking into the Deluxe Dining Plan.  My family and use this plan on most of our Walt Disney World Resort Vacations, for us it offers the most freedom when we are choosing our dining options.  In my experience, depending on the crowd levels, I have found that from the time we check in for our meal until we are leaving can take anywhere from an hour to two hours.  The longer waits typically are when we visit during the holidays and at Character Dining Locations.  When I book my dining, I plan for spending an hour and a half at the Table Service Location, just to be safe.

My family and I generally will book a breakfast and dinner reservation for most days, and visit a quick service location for lunch if we need something more between the two meals.  I have found that even a snack is enough between the two meals, allowing us to use two entitlements to enjoy some of the Signature Dining Locations at Walt Disney World Resort.  We usually have some snacks left over and are able to bring some fabulous treats back home too!

I hope my answer helps Melissa.  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation.  I would love to hear from you again.
