I am trying to plan our first trip to DW this fall and am having a hard time choosing a place to stay. We have a 3 and 5 yr old and am considering the Wilderness Lodge or Caribbean Beach Resort . I have so many questions and feel very overwhelmed.

Hi Jenee, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

Planning your first Walt Disney World vacation can feel a bit over-whelming, as there are so many different pieces involved (lodging, dining, tickets, etc). The good news is that's what were here for and we'd love to help you plan your trip...making your first visit absolutely magical!

Between the two Resorts I would pick the Wilderness Lodge hands down. Not only is it stunning, with a fantastic Table Service restaurant (Whispering Canyon Cafe), but it is a relaxing boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom. Considering the ages of your children, that is the Park that you will most likely be spending the majority of your time. In addition, your little ones may enjoy exploring the nearby Fort Wilderness campground.

While the Caribbean Beach Resort has a fun pool, it is a very large Resort. This means the rooms are spread out and can be a considerable distance from the food court and pool. In addition, as a Moderate Resort, it is further away from the Parks.

I hope this helps and please let us know if we can help you further,
