I am trying to plan my first trip to disney world for my family ..2kids 3 and5 Is park hopper worth it or just go to one park a day as it will be tiring enough for the kids?

Hi Patricia, How fun to be planning your first Disney trip with your family!

To be honest with you, given the age of your kids, I'd go with the Base ticket. While a Park Hopper offers the flexibility to be able to switch, there is plenty to do in each park. There's a lot involved in getting 2 young children to a Park in the morning, including strollers, bags, change of clothes, etc. Once we get to where we're going, we stay put for the day. :)

For our family, we have found that it works best for us to choose to thoroughly enjoy one Park a day. In fact, whenever possible, we plan on 2 full days in each Park on our Vacations. In addition to the well-known attractions, Disney adds countless "little" opportunities to enjoy the Magic. Whether it's discovering the twinkling sidewalks in Epcot at night, or spending extra time watching the gorilla's in Animal Kingdom...allow yourself plenty of time to soak it all in. We find that knowing we have all day somewhere lets us really relax without the pressure of a schedule. For example, it's hard to really enjoy an afternoon in Fantasyland when you have a dinner reservation in Epcot looming in your mind.

What we do is we choose which day we'll be in each Park and we make our one table service meal per day accordingly (based on the Park we're in). For example, based on the ages of your kids, I recommend breakfast in Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. It's a terrific way to start out the day. You'll dine with Pooh and friends in a beautiful setting, enjoying fantastic food.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you need any more tips.

Enjoy the planning...it's the next best thing to taking a Disney Vacation!
