Hello! We are trying to plan our first Disney cruise but are having a hard time finding departures in Los Angeles or San Diego. Are those ports being phased out or should we keep trying?

    Welcome aboard, Wendi!

So great to hear that you are checking out magical cruises onboard Disney Cruise Line for your family. As a fellow Californian, I do wish there were more port departures on the west coast. It would make it so much easier for us to get onboard and party with Captain Mickey. At this time, there are definitely more cruise itineraries that depart from other ports. There are limited voyages that embark out of San Diego, CA. You can see the scheduled trips on this link.

As you'll see, there are a limited number of California Coast Cruise Itineraries available for 2015 and part of 2016. The rest of the 2016 itineraries have not been released yet - so we'll have to wait what else might be offered for 2016. There's always something new and exciting that Disney Cruise Line plans for guests - let's hope that there are more itineraries offered for the west coasters in the near future.

Have a pixie dusted day, Wendi!
