i am trying to plan as far ahead as I can :) I am looking to do the princess half in 2016 , do they seem to always fall on the 3rd weekend in feb ( which would be the 18-21) also what is a must do for the race weekend I will have my 6 yr old w/me

    Welcome, Michelle!

It's never too early to begin planning a runDisney-cation! With all there is to see and do at Walt Disney World® Resort, coupled with the added element of adding a race event, there is a lot to plan! And I am here to help!

The 2016 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend dates have just been announced! You can mark your calendar for February 18-21, 2016 for this royal race to take place. More importantly, mark your calendar for July 14th, 2015 - this is the day registration will open to the public at Noon EST. This race weekend is one of the most popular events in the runDisney race series and will sell-out lighting fast!!! Make sure you are ready to register at that time so you don't miss out on your opportunity to participate.

I also suggest signing up for runDisney Email Notifications. This is a free service and will help keep you up-to-date on registration information and race details. Just select the highlighted link to get started.

With regard to some "must-do's" with your little princess, here are some suggestions:

•runDisney Kids' Races - at six years old she has the chance to earn a running medal, just like mommy, by participating in her very own race; the 200 Meter Dash designed for ages 4-6. She'll be so proud to wear her Finishers Medallion into the parks. And Cast Members love recognizing the littlest runners.

    • Enjoy a royal dining experience at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall as the Disney Princesses themselves stop by your table for a visit.

    • Book afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! You'll both feel perfectly princessy.

I hope this helps, Michelle! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

    Happy Running!
