Trying to plan family's first vacation since dd born. Dh won't stay anywhere but AK. DD is 2 and I think $ would be better spent somewhere else right now b/c she won't really care about animals..any suggestions ???

Your daughter at age 2 will probably be thrilled at any of the resorts. At this magical age, kids are impressed by even the simple things such as riding an elevator, the hotel swimming pool, ducks roaming the resort grounds and the WDW buses.

That being said, our son stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge when he was 2 and had a fantastic time. We had a savanna view room where our son enjoyed eating his cereal while watching giraffes. He was fascinated by the animals and it was fun to watch his reactions.

However I can honestly say that my son would have enjoyed himself at any of the WDW hotels. At an early age, he adored the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Port Orleans French Quarter and the All Star Movies.

I would choose your resort based on what best fits your budget. Then consider the location and theme that best works for your family. Perhaps your hubby has always wanted to go on safari. If so, help him live out his dream. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a memorable getaway.
