I am trying to plan my family (4 adults, 4 boys ages 5-8, 2 girls ages 7 and 1) dinner February 16. We will be at AK that day. Have been told to look at Boma, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare, Whispering Canyon.Oh, picky eaters and one vegetarian. Help!

    Kimberly,

Hi again.  I think I was the one who told you to consider all of those restaurants.  Knowing the eating habits and make up of your party is super helpful.  My first choice for you would actually be Chef Mickey's.  However, it's very difficult to get a reservation to this popular restaurant so close to your trip, but it's worth a shot.  Actually, if you can't get a reservation, make a reservation at a different location (just to have somewhere to go) and keep trying.  It's possible that you could even get in on February 16.

My second choice for you would be Boma.  True, there are tons of exotic options, but there are also the basics: macaroni & cheese, spaghetti and chicken fingers.  Plus, there are tons of vegetarian options.

A third choice, for the fun factor, would be Whispering Canyon Cafe.  If you choose this restaurant, be sure to tell the cast member who makes your reservation that you have a vegetarian in your party.  They'll pass that info along, and the chef will make sure that there is something available for that person to eat.

Hope this helps a bit more.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
