Hi Trying to plan my families visit in October my son (8) would love to do the Jedi Training but it does not appear to be available after the 12th September? It's the same for the Character meet and greets at Animal Kingdom only available until 3rd Oct?

    Hi Rhian,

We here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel believe a little bit of planning goes a long way on your Walt Disney World vacation! Sometimes it does seem like Goofy is in charge of scheduling park activities. When I just checked the Jedi Training Academy schedule they have dates listed through the 19th of September. Hopefully those dates are simply being released slowly.

When I checked the schedule for Disney's Animal Kingdom, they had Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurer's Outpost available for the whole month of October. Dates for Meet Baloo and King Louie at Upcountry Landing do only show up through the 3rd of October. I hope more dates will be added soon, but as with all characters at Walt Disney World, sometimes they go on vacation for a bit, too.

As you plan your visit, please let us know if you have any other questions!
Wishing you happy planning and a magical vacation,
    Amy H
