Hi, I am trying to plan for a families first trip to Disneylan for the first time. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old coming and 3 adults. I don't know how much food will cost. Is there a dinning plan? how much should budget?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Meagan. I'm excited for your first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with your family.

There is no dining plan available at the Disneyland Resort at this time. There are many food establishments to choose from at the parks, whether you wish to have a nice, leisurely meal at a table service such as Wine Country Trattoria or Cafe Orleans, an upscale fine/signature dining like Carthay Circle Restaurant, or a grab-and-go quick service such as Cozy Cone Motel. With so many choices, you'll find places that suit your family's needs, wants, and budget.

It's tough for me to say, "Set aside $___ for your food budget" since I'm not sure how much you eat or spend on food. I say that because every family is unique and has different budget for various categories while on vacation. My suggestion is to look on the Disneyland website to check out all the dining options. You'll be able to browse through the menus and most have prices listed. Another great website for foods found throughout Disneyland Resort is the Disney Food Blog. It has great reviews and lots of photos!

I hope this information can help get you started on meal budgeting for your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions, Meagan.

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
