Ahoy, Christine!
One of my favorite parts of planning a Disney Cruise is choosing which
Port Adventures we want to experience! Disney Cruise Line has done their homework and planned some fabulous adventures for all ages at each port. We've really enjoyed each and every excursion we've participated in, and made some wonderful memories along the way!
I assume the Port Adventure you're considering is the
Dolphin Extreme Swim and Turtle Farm in Grand Cayman. While I haven't personally experienced this adventure, I've read all about it and it sounds like a splashtacular time! This extremely hands-on encounter includes plenty of interaction with the dolphins, including a handshake, "kiss" and even a dance! After the shallow water interaction, you'll move into deeper water for a "belly ride", where you're pulled across the surface by one of these beautiful creatures. You'll also have time for a short "free swim" where you can interact with the dolphins. All of your dolphin fun will be captured on camera by professional photographers, and photos/videos will be available for purchase. This is certainly one of the most interactive dolphin encounters offered, and it sounds like it would be loads of fun.
What's great about this adventure is that it also includes a visit to the famous Grand Cayman Turtle Farm, home to over 8,000 sea turtles. Some of the turtles weigh over six hundred pounds!
If you'd like to read guest reviews, there are websites that you can visit: disboards.com and passporterboards.com both feature guest reviews of their cruise experiences.
Hope this helps with your planning! Have a magical day! - Diane W.
