Hello, we are trying to plan our Disneyland trip during the kid’s Christmas break. Sometime between 12/17 and 1/7. Does Fantasmic show during the week? Or only the weekend?

Hi there, Kandice! Welcome to planDisney!

Fantasmic! is my favorite Disneyland Resort nighttime spectacular, so you've come to the right place. There's nothing quite like taking a journey through Mickey's own imagination, facing your favorite villains, and celebrating a fabulous finale with characters you know and love! I'm glad you asked this question because currently Fantasmic! is performed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Exceptions are made, however, for holiday weeks like Thanksgiving and Christmas! The Entertainment Schedule is posted about six weeks ahead of time and is currently showing through December 18th. While my pixie dust doesn't allow me to see the schedule beyond that date, what I can tell you is that weekday performances have been added in for the week of December 11th. I also took a look at the Fantasmic! Dining Packages at River Belle Terrace and Blue Bayou Restaurant and while availability is low, it allows you to search for times on weekdays around the holiday. It's very, VERY likely that the weekdays will be added in through the New Year holiday, but I recommend checking back in a few days to confirm. Hopefully, you'll be putting on your sorcerer's hat and following Mickey down his very own rabbit hole soon!

If you want a guarantee for some nighttime entertainment, you might want to consider an evening at Disney California Adventure Park. World of Color and its holiday version World of Color - Seasons of Light perform nightly throughout most of the year. Prepare for festive fun, some favorite holiday tunes, and classic Disney storytelling! One of my favorite recent memories was attending the World of Color Dessert Party! This requires a reservation, but is a guaranteed, seated spot with a great view ... not to mention all the sweet and savory treats to nibble on while you enjoy the show! When you check in, you'll be asked if you prefer a front-row, low-top table or a second-row, high-top table. I recommend the high-top! There will be a section of Guests in front of the dessert party viewing area, and the elevation will help secure an exceptional view! It's a really fun way to cap off a holiday-filled park day!

Kandice, I hope this was helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

    Merry magic awaits!
