How ya doin, Julie, and welcome to planDisney!
If I learned anything from Mrs. Jumbo of Dumbo fame, it's that a good mother will tear the whole circus up over her baby. As the daughter of a single mother who still makes magic for me even now, I see you, and I salute you. It's my pleasure to be the Fairy GodTaylor helping to get y'all to the ball.
While the Build Your Vacation tool on the
Walt Disney World homepage is an easy, organized way to book your vacation, it only lets you filter by price, from low to high, for the specific dates you choose. It does, however, give you the option to create different vacation packages and compare them, which helps when creating a budget. But don't fret, I've made my own observations over the years, and based on my knowledge, I can offer you my personal recommendations on the best times to travel.
1. September has consistently been a good time for my family visits. The week after Labor Day, we've traditionally pulled my goddaughter from school and enjoyed a bit lower crowds and lower room rates than you would see around spring break or mid-summer.
2. If you're looking for cooler weather, January usually has its share of good rates as well. Just be sure to pack some warm clothing since even in Florida, Elsa knows how to let it go.
Pro tip: Keep an eye on
special offers, discounts, and deals as you plan your trip, even after you've booked it. There are all types of offers for free dining, room discounts, and so much more that are released throughout the year. If one becomes available that works for you and your baby girl, just
call the Cast Members at Disney Reservations, and they can help you apply that offer to your stay and save a few coins.
Julie, I sincerely hope I've been able to help you. My mom packing me up and taking me to the Most Magical Place on Earth at three years old was the spark for me to even be talking to you today. As I start planning my mother-daughter trip for next year with my mom, I'm wishing you and your daughter all the best for yours. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat!Happy planning!
