Hi Tara! I completely understand your stress on choosing the Resort for your Disney vacation. There are so many great choices and of course you want to make the right selection for your family. Budget is the main ingredient when choosing a Disney resort. There are three categories of resorts, Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. Pricing changes with each category so you need to decide how much money you are willing to pay for this part of your Disney vacation. The Deluxe resorts will offer the best location and you will find those within walking or short transportation distance from the theme parks. That is always a great thing when you have young children who might need to go back to the room for rests. Your moderate resorts have nice rooms but will be further from the parks. They will have good pools but not quite as extensive as the Deluxe pools. And finally the Value resorts have smaller rooms, less amenities, and simple but nice pool areas but they are the furthest from all parks so transportation will take a bit longer. Everyone has their personal favorites but here are mine when choosing in each category. Value: Art of Animation or Pop Century Moderate: Port Orleans Riverside Deluxe: Beach Club, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge Check all of the choices out to find the cost per night and then decide what your budget can handle. Since many families don't spend a lot of time in the room they choose to spend less there and more for tickets or other experiences, It ends up being a very personal choice.
