Hi, Ashley!
What a great idea!
If I were planning a trip for two to Walt Disney World, I would definitely consider what the evening plans include. Will you be park hopping? If so, which parks do you see yourselves heading to most often at night?
With that in mind, if you decide not to head back to the ultra-convenient and tropically-themed Disney's Polynesian Resort (adjacent to the monorail line, making access to Magic Kingdom easy) consider
Disney's Beach Club Resort, as this is within walking distance to Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Boardwalk area. While the resort pool, Stormalong Bay, is a hit with the younger crowd, it also offers grownups plenty of areas to lounge and explore the nooks and crannies of the 3 acre "water wonderland." It's a great resort!
On the other hand, the exotic theming and spectacular views of
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or its little sister,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village, are worth your consideration as well. Somehow, both of these resorts have managed to carve a special niche for the little ones, while maintaining a super-inviting atmosphere for a grown-ups only stay. Add a savannah-view room and you'll find that you might spend a lot more time at the resort than you would have thought!
Finally,
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa might be a great place to relax, unwind with a spa treatment or head over to Downtown Disney, which is just a quick walk or ferry-ride away. (Ask for a room in Congress Park, as this is the closest to DD!)
Send more questions as you think of them, Ashley; we love to help!
