We're trying to plan a Disney Cruise for Spring of 2012. How far in advance can we make reservations? Are there payment plans? How do we know which ship is best for us? Thanks for all the help! I love the Mom's panel and all the info here! ;)

    Hi Michele,

Welcome to the Moms Panel, I'm so happy to hear that you have found the wealth of information here helpful!

At this time, bookings are available through 2011.  We can expect the 2012 rates and itineraries to be released sometime this fall - and you can bookings will be permitted at that time.

Currently, your stateroom on a Disney Cruise can be reserved with a $200 deposit (per person) for the 3, 4, & 5 night voyages; and $250 (per person) for the 7-night voyages.  If you are looking to book a suite, the deposits are a bit higher, and non-refundable.  Once you have made your deposit, you can makes payments on your own schedule either online or over the phone.  Just be sure to mark on your calendar your "paid in full" due date, which will be 75 days prior to sailing.

Now which ship is best - I can honestly tell you that I don't think you can go wrong.  Each and every Disney Cruise ship will offer top notch service, style, dining, entertainment and kids programming.  Because there are only two ships in the fleet at this time (but will be expanded to four in 2012), it will be easer to have your ship decision made based on your ideal destination and length of cruise.  What I really like about this cruise line is that all of the ships have simplified the your research by naming many of the common features the same on each ship.  For instance, all of the ships call their kids programming centers Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, likewise each ship has an Animators Palate and Palo restaurant.  I think this just affirms that you can't go wrong with any of the Disney ships.

    I hope this helps!
