Trying to plan my dining reservations for an upcoming trip in October, my 60 day window is in 2 weeks to make reservations I really need to know the extended evening hours in the parks for resort guests in order to plan my days but they aren’t listed yet

    Hi Michel!

Welcome back to planDisney!  It’s great to see you again as you get ready for another visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  Fall is one of my favorite times of the year to visit.  Between the happy haunts at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the delicious offerings at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, there is a lot of seasonal fun to add to your park days!

As you know, Michel, dining reservations open 60 days before your visit, and Guests staying in the Disney Resorts Collection (or other select hotels) can make reservations for the entire length of your stay when that window opens.  When making your plans, you’ll find the Hours and Events Calendar also usually displays information for about the next 60 days.  This is where you can find the schedule for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, available exclusively to Guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other select hotels.  I suggest checking the day before your dining reservations open, just in case the Hours & Events Calendar shows anything beyond 60 days to help as you plan.  Even if park hours are visible, please keep in mind that they are subject to change and may be updated closer to your trip.

If you're unable to view the nights that extended hours are available during your stay before making your dining reservations, I can share what I have done in the past.  I like to look at the weeks leading up to my trip and can sometimes see a pattern of which parks have extended hours on which nights.  While there is no guarantee that the days will be the same the week of my visit, I have had some luck making predictions this way.  You'll also want to make note of any nights that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled to occur during your visit.  Whether you plan to attend this special-ticketed event or not, it's important to know which nights Magic Kingdom Park closes at 6:00 PM for daytime Guests when making your dining reservations and other park plans.

It's also good to keep in mind that most dining reservations can be cancelled within 2 hours of your arrival, so if you need to change your plans after your initial reservations are made, you can do so subject to availability.  I've been fortunate to find some great reservations in the days leading up to our trips as plans change for other Guests - including a character breakfast with Mickey and friends at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera!  More information about policies to change or modify your specific dining reservations can be found at the time of booking.

While I know this may not have been the answer you were looking for, Michel, I hope it helps as you get ready for your trip.  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
