Trying to plan our dining experiences for December. Is there a special place you would suggest for New Years Eve? We cannot wait to celebrate 2016 with Mickey!

    Hello Megan,
I can't think of a more magical place to welcome in 2016 than Walt Disney World Resort, why it's practically perfect in every way!
For me the top spot to celebrate on December 31st can be found at the California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
This fine/signature dining restaurant is located way up on the 15th floor which gives it unrivalled views of the Magic Kingdom Park below and of course the special New Years edition of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.
Guests who are dining at the California Grill have the exclusive option of viewing the fireworks from the observation deck; even if you have an early dinner reservation, just show your receipt for re-entry!
For a sneaky peek at New Years Eve 2014 - Fantasy in the Sky check out this great video on the Disney Parks Blog - (skipping it forward to 20:10 mintues).
Be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days ahead of time via My Disney Experience or by speaking with a Cast Member on the telephone number contained within my previous California Grill link.
If I can help sprinkle any extra pixie dust onto your December 2015 plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort please pop back to ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
