Trying to plan Dec. 2010 vacation for 2 adults and 2 kids my ? is how is the weather there during that month.. we are looking at staying at the campsite at the fort wilderness. which is better during that month campsite or resort.

Hi Jacob!  December and January are generally the coolest months at Disney.  The high temperatures average around 73 degrees and the lows average around 53 degrees.  The early mornings and evenings will be cool and the days warm up nicely if the sun is out.  Certainly a month to bring wraps for those times of the day.

I have not been camping at Fort Wilderness during this time but have been told that everyone decks out their sites with holiday decorations and the spirit is quite festive.  If you feel that the temperatures are not going to make it comfortable for you to enjoy being outdoors then it would make sense getting reservations in a resort.  I am one who loves camping in colder weather but I also know I am probably a minority!
