Merry Christmas, Mary Sandra! You’ve been a frequent visitor to planDisney over the years! I’m so glad you find our group of Disney superfans to be helpful with your vacation planning!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is one of the most spectacular events at Disney World! Even Uncle Scrooge McDuck usually finds his way to the party each year! While details about this year’s party are still a few months away, it is never too soon to begin planning your holiday visit!
Mary Sandra, because you’re still in the fun planning phase of your visit, you might want to consider booking a
value or
moderate resort. The prices of these resort hotels might offset the price of the tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Another option is to book your vacation when party ticket prices are lower. Usually, party tickets are more expensive closer to the holidays. If you plan your visit for early December, the tickets will most likely cost less than they would closer to Christmas.
Another option to consider is to apply for the Disney Visa credit card! Using the card racks up redemption dollars that you can use for numerous Disney purchases, including tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! My wife and I have saved our redemption dollars over the years and have used them to buy tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
One final option to consider is to visit Magic Kingdom after the party dates. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party usually runs through about December 21. Then, in the days leading up to and just after Christmas, regular park attendees get to enjoy the Christmas parade, which is exclusive to the Christmas party on party dates. Of course, all of the Christmas decorations remain as well! You're still getting the benefit of the Christmas parade and decorations, but with regular theme park admission prices.
Mary Sandra, I hope some of these money-saving tips are helpful as you plan your Christmastime visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Dreams do come true!
