Trying to plan a 5 day WDW vacation while my husband is deployed. Three kids...ages 4, 2 and 6 mths. Would march, april or may be the best as far as crowds and weather? Appreciate the help...thx!!

    Hi Kristin,

Please express the gratitude of the Moms Panel to your husband for his service to our country.  I hope he will be able to join you on a magical Disney vacation soon!

Springtime weather in Orlando is absolutely gorgeous so I don't think you can go wrong with regards to booking a vacation in either March, April, or May.  By May it will be considerably warmer than in March, but not nearly as hot as it will be during the summer.  As for park attendance rates, I would do your best to avoid the weeks before and after Easter.  Similarly, I would steer clear of Memorial Day weekend.  These are very busy times for the theme parks.  My sister has gone to Walt Disney World several times in early May.  She has remarked repeatedly that lines for attractions in the theme parks are blissfully short at that time of year.  This makes sense since most school-age children have not yet been released for their summer breaks.  Perhaps you'd like to give early May a try!

Wishing you a wonderful vacation with your children!
