Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy you stopped by for some ideas for ways to plan your accommodations for your Walt Disney World vacation on a budget.
The first thing to know is that price varies based on date, type of room and availability. And price alone may not be your only consideration.
The first option I'd suggest you explore is the value hotels in the
Disney Resorts Collection. Though they are probably going to cost a little more than some of the off-property choices, they come with the full range of
benefits for Disney resort guests, including
complimentary transportation to all theme parks and Disney Springs.
The buses run about every 20 minutes from an hour before the parks open until an hour after closing time. And, if you choose the Pop Century Resort, you also have the option of using the
Skyliner, which operates constantly. For my family, the continuous access to transportation is one of our favorite amenities.
Another bonus: If you book a Walt Disney Travel Package (resort and tickets) during 2026, you'll get a
free dining plan for each child ages 3 to 9. That savings, plus all the benefits such as
Early Entry to the theme parks, may help offset any added cost of the room.
You can find other
special offers for holiday resort stays and ticket packages on the Walt Disney World website.
If you want to find a room for even less, I'd suggest you check out the offers at the
Disney Springs area hotels and the official
"Good Neighbor" hotels which are near Walt Disney World property and may have rates that are a bit lower than the on-property resorts.
Though many offer complimentary transportation, please know that these shuttle services may operate on a limited schedule and, because the same shuttle may stop at several parks, it can take a while to reach your destination. Make sure you check on the schedules in advance to be sure the transportation will meet your needs.
Another option, of course, is to scan the websites of major hotel chains that have properties near Walt Disney World. We live about 90 minutes away. When we pop over at the last minute for a quick overnight visit, we often choose a hotel in the Flamingo Crossings area. There are several properties there that offer reasonable prices and complimentary transportation.
