I am trying to plan ahead for the registration for the 2014 Marathon weekend. I am wondering if its best to book our resort when registering for the races or use one of the listed travel operators. Thank you.

    Hi Sarah!

Well, the 2014 Marathon weekend is going to be amazing!

The Walt Disney World travel packages through runDisney won't be available until around mid-April.  It will include packages that have rooms, tickets, etc.

The travel operators are a good option if you would like to book your entire vacation as a package.  They aren't always the best deals, though.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you can book your resort stay on your own.  Disney often has special offers that coincide with race weekends that can be great bargains.  You can find a list of these on the Special Offers page on the Disney website.  Sometimes these won't be announced until closer to that time, so you could always book through runDisney (407-WDW-IRUN) and then change your reservation if you find a better deal. (Just make sure to ask the cancellation policy when booking through runDisney)

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
