I am trying to pay for my room

Hey Howdy Hey Amy and welcome to planDisney!

There are so many big milestones when it comes to planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Selecting the "right" resort for your trip, putting your down payment and making the final payments are some of the big ones! Thank you for your question about paying for your room. Let's review a few things and get you pointed in the right direction.

When it comes to making payments towards your vacation, it depends on the specifics of what you booked with Disney. With a vacation package, which includes hotel accommodations at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets, you will be required to pay a down payment of $200.00 (pricing subject to change) to hold your reservation. The total amount due is due 30 days from your date of arrival. Of course, you can also pay it off earlier if you would like or make a payment towards your vacation package through your My Disney Experience account.

Log onto your My Disney Experience account and scroll to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. You should have your reservation linked and see the details there. Also in this area, on the right of the screen, you should see an option to "Make Payment". Click on that link and you can follow the prompts to make a payment towards your vacation package. If you booked a room-only reservation with Disney, you will not see this step and this works a little differently.

With a room-only reservation, you are required to put a down payment of the first night's stay plus tax to hold your reservation. The full amount is due at the time of check-in on the date of your arrival. You are not allowed to pay the full amount off until your date of arrival and will not see this option on your My Disney Experience account, just the reservation and options to modify if needed.

I hope that helps to give you some insights into the details of your options and where to find them. If you continue to have difficulty making a payment that you are eligible to make, you can always call Disney directly and speak to a Cast Member about this as well. Best of luck as you continue to plan for your trip next year! Please feel free to reach out and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
