Welcome to planDisney, Kylie. I have been in this situation before, so I feel you. But don’t worry, I’ve got some troubleshooting tips to help you out!
Now, as you likely know,
Scrooge McDuck is all about keeping track of his fortune and ensuring he’s paid up on all of his balances. So let’s put our Scrooge McDuck hats on and find that link. After all, you made your money the old-fashioned way. You earned it. So let’s put it to work!
But before I get started with the McDuck-level troubleshooting, just ensure that what you have booked is a vacation package (a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room
and theme park tickets booked together). If it is a room-only reservation, you cannot pay the balance ahead of time. Instead, it will be charged to you when you arrive.
If you have a vacation package but aren’t seeing the link to make a payment, it might be playing an unwelcome game of hide-and-seek, like one of Scrooge’s troublemaking nephews. First, log out of your My Disney Experience account and log back in. Sometimes this resets things. Then click the “
My Plans and Tickets” link under the My Disney Experience dropdown menu. Scroll down to find your reservation, and you should see a link that says, “Make a Payment.” If it’s still not showing up, you may need to
contact a friendly Cast Member who would be happy to take your payment.
When your magical vacation begins, be sure you’ve got a few of the recently opened experiences at the resort on your list. The
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After show in
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is delightful. You’ll have the “
Magic Mirror” song in your head long after the curtains come down (and that’s a good thing). Plus, I love the brand-new 4D show,
Zootopia: Better Zoogether! in
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. And while we don’t know exactly when the refurbished version of
Frozen Ever After in
EPCOT with
the new Audio-Animatronics figures will open, it should be available in February at some point. So my fingers are crossed you’ll be able to see this newly updated version when you’re there.
Kylie, have a wonderful vacation, and don’t hesitate to
reach out if you need anything else. I’m always happy to help you protect your treasure and your travel plans!
Sending along a vault of good wishes,
Matt
