Hiya Sarah,
Thanks for bringing your question about making theme park reservations at Walt Disney World Resort to planDisney. The spooky season has already begun at Magic Kingdom Park. The first
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season filled my social media feed with glimpses of eerie eats and boo-tiful Disney Villains during Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade. The Halloween party takes place in Magic Kingdom Park on select nights through October 31. If you do not plan on attending the party, kindly note that Magic Kingdom
closes early for general admission Guests on those nights.
Every Guest over the age of three must currently have valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) for theme park entry. I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble making theme park reservations for your entire party. I think I may know what's going on and am happy to walk you through my recommended solution.
You can make a theme park reservation using the
Disney Park Pass system for anyone that appears on your
Family and Friends list in My Disney Experience with valid admission linked to their account. Please take a look at your Family and Friends list now; do you see the names of the child[ren] in your party? I have a sneaking suspicion that the answer is "no," which identifies the root of your tech trouble. Children under the age of 13 must have their My Disney Experience account profiles managed by an adult. The managing adult controls who can connect with children as Family and Friends. Perhaps the children appear on your mother's Family and Friends list? Assuming that's the case and that you and your mother are already connected as Family and Friends, continue reading for your next steps.
Once you've confirmed whose My Disney Experience account manages the child's profile, that person should click "Update" next to their own name as it appears on their Family and Friends list, followed by "Share My List." Once that step is complete, access your Family and Friends list, Sarah, and click "Add a Guest." "Find through my connected Guests" should be selected by default and the children's names should automagically pop up because you are connected to the adult that manages their account (assumedly your mother) as Family and Friends and that adult's Family and Friends list is shared.
Once the child appears on your Family and Friends list, Sarah, you should have no trouble making theme park reservations for your entire party. To reiterate, just make sure everyone's tickets are
linked to their My Disney Experience account or account profiles.
If I was completely off base in my assumptions, Sarah, please
follow up with as many details as possible. You are also welcome to call and speak to a helpful Cast Member at the

Plan magic; planDisney.
