Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Melissa. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chat about my favorite way to spend a Disney day - Park Hopping!
Rest assured, Melissa, you are doing everything right! Even with your
park hopper ticket, you are only able to make one park pass reservation per day. Because Walt Disney World is still operating at a limited capacity, park pass reservations are basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the initial theme park you'd like to visit each day.
Park hopping does look a little bit different than it used to, Melissa. Right now, to park hop, Guests must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option and a
park pass reservation for the first theme park they'd like to go to each day. It sounds like you are good to go on this step. On the day of, you'll need to scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. This sort of activates your park hopper feature each day. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. each day and last until each park closes in the evening. After the clock strikes 2:00 p.m. you are pretty much free to go to whichever park your heart desires. Keep in mind, even if it is after 2:00 p.m. but you have not yet scanned into the theme park with the park pass reservation, you'll need to do so before visiting another park. With your park hopper ticket, you are then able to visit one, two or even all three other Walt Disney World Theme Parks if you would like. To make park hopping a little bit more convenient at this time, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being offered.
I really enjoy visiting one of the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks during the early morning hours that they are open. I'm always so amazed at how many must-do things I can cross off of my list. Then, by about lunchtime I a ready for a break and love to head back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I happen to be staying at for an afternoon swim. Around dinnertime, I like to clean up and head over to EPCOT for the rest of the day. Enjoying snacks and drinks around
The World Showcase is a great way to end a Disney day.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion you might have has about park hopping, Melissa. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
Have fun and happy hopping!
Jackie H.
