Hello, I am trying to link tickets for Friends and Family. They purchased tickets online and have a 17 digit number appearing under the bar code. When I try to enter this number on the Disney Experience App, I get an “invalid code” message. Help! 😀

Hey Howdy Hey Elizabeth and welcome to planDisney!

It is so exciting to hear that your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is just days away! Thank you for stopping by with your question about linking your family and friend's theme park tickets. I will be happy to give you a few things to try so you can get their tickets linked and back to the excitement for the big trip.

When purchasing theme park tickets online from the Walt Disney World Resort site, in most cases you will be prompted to log into your My Disney Experience account and assign the tickets to someone in your party. Error codes sometimes occur because the tickets may already be linked. I would have whoever purchased the tickets log into their account, go under the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and click on the "My Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker". Once there, you may see the tickets which may or may not be assigned to the party members they are linked to. If you see them, there should be a drop-down menu to assign them to a party member and you should be all set!

Now if your tickets are not linked and you are still having issues with error codes when plugging it into the site, the first thing I would recommend is to log out and then back in. Sometimes this will reset whatever issue was present and then it magically connects.

The other option you have is to try to link the tickets to an account in their party that shares plans with all the members. You would go through the same process to link the tickets on another member's account and you may find it works on the other account. This has happened with me and my wife on a few occasions! Once the tickets are linked, you will be able to assign the tickets to members of the party they share plans with.

If all else fails and you have run through these steps above without success, you may need to call Disney and speak to a Cast Member. They may ask for the ticket ID number as well as a confirmation number and credit card for the transaction to verify, so make sure to have those close by. They should be able to get things straightened out quickly and get you all set for your trip.

I hope these steps helped get your tickets linked. I hope you and your party have a trip full of Magical Memories later this month. Please feel free to stop back if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
