trying to link my son's ticket to the disney app. he can't find the request, how do I resend it?

    Hi Lauri, welcome to planDisney!

You are mere weeks away from running and racing and dancing and chasing and leaping and bounding, hair flying, heart pounding around Walt Disney World Resort. Can you tell my family watched Tangled for movie night last night?

Valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry. I understand you've made steps to link your son's ticket to his My Disney Experience account. If I'm reading between your carefully crafted words, it sounds like your son's ticket is currently housed in your account and that you are trying to reassign it to him. It also sounds like you've done the tricky part of sending your son an invitation to connect as Family and Friends so his ticket currently housed in your account can be reassigned to him.

My first tip is for your son to search his email for a message from "Disney Destinations." The subject line begins with, "You have a Family and Friends invitation to join in on Walt Disney World vacation planning." It's best to check the spam folder, too, just in case the pixie dust got sent to the wrong folder. If he still can't find the missing email, no worries, the following steps should work to resend the invite in the My Disney Experience mobile app:

    1. Click the three small lines at the bottom right of the home page.
    2. Scroll down and click "My Profile."
    3. Click the "Family and Friends List" tab.
    4. Scroll down and click on your son's name, which should say "Invitation Pending."
    5. Click "Resend Invitation."

Once you and your son are connected as Family and Friends, his name will automagically appear in the dropdown menu when you go to reassign his ticket in the My Disney Experience app (three small lines --> Tickets and Passes --> Reassign Ticket).

I hope this is helpful information, Lauri. If I misunderstood your question, please follow up with as many specifics as possible. I want to help you and your son have your best Disney days ever!

    Choose magic,
    Jennifer
