Trying to link separate reservations for park having trouble

Welcome to planDisney, Christina! I'm so glad to be able to answer a question for a fellow Texan today. Since it looks like you're already at Walt Disney World Resort kicking off your vacation, let's jump right in and try to sort out your tech issues.

Christina, it sounds like maybe you're trying to link together two parties who have booked their vacations separately. This is essential if you want to take advantage of Disney Genie+ Service or join a Virtual Queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. To link your party with another party in the My Disney Experience app, tap on the main menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and scroll down to "My Profile." At the top of the screen, toggle to "Family & Friends List" and tap "Add a Guest." From this screen, you'll be able to search for the people you want to link to and send them an invitation through e-mail. Once they have accepted your invitation, you'll be able to make plans with them through the app!

If you're still having issues connecting with another party, I recommend that you call the hotline for My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+. You'll be able to chat with someone who can help you with tech support and sort out any issues you might be having. Alternatively, if you're already at Walt Disney World Resort, you can stop by any Guest Relations location and a friendly Disney Cast Member will help you on location.

    Have a magical day, Christina!

Meet the Panelist: Jessica, Texas

I'm a personal stylist and I live in Texas with my husband and our three rescue animals. We are Disney Parks-obsessed and love enjoying all the magic that's out there especially for grown-ups. In fact, we even opted out of a tropical honeymoon to spend a blissful week at Walt Disney World Resort instead! I'm thrilled to be on the planDisney Panel and I'm excited to share everything I've learned from all of our trips and help you plan a memorable family vacation.  Learn More About Jessica
