I am trying to link my reservations together. Anytime I try "link to account" on the app it says that the reservation for that room is already linked to my daughter's account. How can I move it to my account because I am paying for the room?

    Hiya Lacy,

Thank you for bringing your question to us here at planDisney. What a magical time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. So many new things are happening, and every trip is filled with new surprises. The 50th Anniversary Celebration is incredible and has, in my opinion, reinvigorated the magic at the Theme Parks.

I’m sorry to hear that you have difficulties linking your Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel reservations. I’ve definitely had this happen before if my significant other links our reservations before I do. There are two ways you may be able to remedy this situation:

    1. Are you and your daughter linked through the Family and Friends list, Lacy? If you are, your daughter can go into the resort hotel reservation and add you as a Guest. This would then allow the reservation to be linked under your My Disney Experience account as well. We always do this when we plan our trips so that both of us have full access to the reservations (including the mobile room key and other benefits), and I highly recommend it.

To do this: Have your daughter log onto her My Disney Experience Account. She will then need to go to “My Plans” and locate the resort hotel reservation. Once there, she will select “Change Reservation.” She should then be able to add you as a Guest (as long as you are linked under Family and Friends). If she is unable to do so, she should call a Cast Member at 407-939-7639 for additional assistance in adding you.

    2. Another option is to have your daughter go in and unlink the reservation from her account so you can re-link it to your account. She can do this by accessing “Change Reservation” under My Disney Experience and then un-linking the reservation from her account. Once she has unlinked it from her account, you should be able to then add it to yours. I’ve never tried this tip before, admittedly, but I have heard people have had success with it.

Hopefully, this helps remedy your technical difficulties, Lacy.

If you need help with anything else, please reach out to me.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
