Welcome to planDisney, Barry! It looks like you'll be celebrating
spooky season at the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few more days; I'm sure you're as happy as a grim-grinning ghost to be closing out your magical countdown to your vacation! Let's get right into your question about the most magical accessory on Earth - the
MagicBand, so you'll be able to tap into all the memories and magical moments that await you!
Barry, if you have already linked a MagicBand to a guest's My Disney Experience account, you do not need to link them again; the bands will stay connected to that guest unless or until the guest deactivates them on his or her own account. Remember that
MagicBands are not transferable, so they can only stay connected to one guest's account. To check if your previous bands are still active, log into your My Disney Experience account and visit the
MagicBands & Cards section of My Profile where you should see all previously linked bands listed on your account. If the band you are having trouble linking is there, you will be able to continue using it with no further action required. If you don't see the MagicBand listed under your account, I'd recommend reaching out to a
Technical Support Cast Member who should be able to access your account and assist you.
Barry, one other option would be to bring your MagicBands with you to your
Disney Resort hotel and ask the Front Desk for assistance upon your check-in. Remember you can also request a Key to the World card when you arrive, or create a Disney Magic Mobile pass through the My Disney Experience mobile app for alternate forms of entry to the parks.
I hope this is helpful, Barry, and I hope you'll be able to troubleshoot your MagicBands before your arrival so you'll feel connected to the magic from the moment you arrive! If you have any other planning questions, come visit us again at
planDisney and let us know!
See you real soon,
Alison
