Trying to make on line reservations for T-Rex at Disney Springs on line and it keeps telling g me to call. I would much rather book on Line, can I do this?

Hi there Lisa, I'm pleased to wish you a dino-mite welcome to planDisney!

Every time I pass by Disney Springs as I roam about for research, I spot families trying their best to find dining locations to enjoy together before stumbling across T-REX - a place whose facade only offers a hint of the prehistoric wonders awaiting guests inside, unlike its Rainforest Cafe sibling spouting fire with animatronic creatures on the display outside in the Marketplace just across the way.

It looks like you'll be coming down to Florida from Newfoundland in September, and it's important to remember that reservations typically open about 2 months in advance online. I ran a few tests on my end to see whether it was possible to make reservations for T-REX and complete my booking online, and as it turns out there's a lot of availability over the next few months which resulted in a number of successful booking confirmations. The process may be tricky for some on their mobile devices, so I recommend attempting again on a desktop where you'll be able to click on the "Make Reservation" button on their page of the Disney Springs website, or directly on "Check Available Days" from the Walt Disney World Resort website - either way should direct you to log into your MyDisney account so that the reservation will show up and be linked to you automatically. (I also called them directly myself to ask why guests might need to call, and they let me know that if you're planning for a larger party of 9 or more guests you'll likely want to speak with them directly, which can be costly for Canadians using a more classic long-distance calling method.)

Something that I recommend to other Disney folks is looking into joining the Landry's Select Club, since T-REX is one of the restaurants under the brand as an operating participant at Walt Disney World Resort; this has afforded us some great discounts and even excellent seating on days when reservations were difficult to obtain at other locations like Yak and Yeti Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! I hope this helps Lisa, and that you're just as successful as I was just now in making bookings for T-REX. You're always welcome to come back to us here at planDisney for any other advice or assistance that we can provide to fellow Canucks.

Here's to dining among dinosaurs on your upcoming trip!
