    Just trying to get some information on Disney Gift Cards. Could you tell me if you can use a DGC to pay for Characters in Flight, Miniature Golf, or renting a golf cart at FWC? Thank you!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you so much for sending us another vacation planning question. We are here to help you with all the magical details. 

    Disney Gift Cards are a fantastic way to "save" for your Walt Disney World® Resort vacation. I like to purchase gift cards from select retailers prior to our vacations to help cover our incidentals. It's really a great strategy. 

    The most magical news is, you can use your Disney Gift Card(s) for just about everything and everywhere! They only exception are a few third-party merchandise kiosks in the Disney Springs area. You'll be able to use them for everything you mentioned above! 

    I also have a few tips for you on managing gift cards, should you be traveling with multiple. 

    • If you're staying on-property and using a MagicBand, you can use it for convenience and then stop by the front desk of your resort hotel lobby and use your gift card(s) to pay down your account. This strategy is the way around things should you run into a location that does not accept gift cards (which is not many!). Also, you'll be sure every penny is used up - instead of coming home with cards that still have a few dollars left on them. 

    • Disneygiftcards.com is a fantastic website that can help you manage cards by allowing you to transfer balances of multiple cards all onto one. Just select the highlighted link for more information on this option.
