I am trying to get an idea of how long we will spend in the character meals we have planned. donalds safari breakast, chef mickeys, hollywood and vine, 1900 park fare. any estimate you could give would help. we are going to be arriving on 9/21/13. thanks

    Hi Lauren,

My family absolutely loves character dining! On average, we spend approximately an hour to an hour and a half enjoying these meals. The characters are on a rotation and they work their way around the restaurant. You may get lucky and right when you are seated, they may be making their rounds in your section of the restaurant (which means you can scoot out after you have eaten). Then again, they may have just passed by and it could be a bit of time before they get back to your section. Most of the restaurants split them up nicely. For example, you may have Cinderella and Prince Charming on one side and Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella on the other (then they switch). This works great because you can head up to the buffet to fill your plates in between character greetings. Your server will let you know how you can tell when one will be visiting your table soon. We tend to use these meals as the perfect opportunity to relax in the air conditioning and take some time to plan out our day. Since it is "all-you-care-to-enjoy", be sure you fill up your bellies and get your monies worth. The food is delicious!

    Wishing you a wonderful vacation!
