trying to get a group trip for Hawaii but need to get on a list for 2023 since 2021 and 2022 are sold out

    Aloha Jose!

“See that line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me.” Channeling my inner Moana because we are talking about the tropical paradise called Hawai’i. It would be WONDERful to visit the Aloha state on a Disney cruise! Mad props to you for already strategizing your travel plans and wanting to be ready to make a group booking with Captain Mickey for Hawai’i.

The popularity for the Hawaiian itineraries has been through the roof! For good reason: these traditionally 10-night sailings include several days at sea and a string of stops on all four of the major islands. Having never been to Hawai’i before, that sounds marvelous to me!

It is currently unclear whether Hawai’i will be part of Disney Cruise Line’s 2023 offerings. My guess will be yes, but we will have to wait and SEA when those early 2023 itineraries are announced. Keep in mind that advance booking will be based on Castaway Club level with priority to Platinum members, followed by Gold, Silver, and then first time Disney cruisers.

There’s not a way to put your name on a list, so what you will need to do is make your reservation as soon as it opens up and based on the Castaway Club levels for everyone in your party. The higher the Castaway Club level, the more likely you will be able to reserve a spot on these coveted Hawai’i itineraries. I’ve sailed with friends before, and we all have various Castaway Club levels. So the two friends that have Platinum status were the primary guests in each of the two staterooms that we booked. This gave us a leg up for making the cruise reservation as well as for the various perks that Castaway Club members are afforded.

Hey, what this means is that to get to the highest Castaway Club level and be well positioned to make those Hawai’i reservations, you NEED to take more cruises between now and when they become available for booking, right? I’m always an enabler when it comes to travel, especially Disney cruising. So use that as your reasoning for more frequent sailings with Captain Mickey!

Hope this helps you as you patiently await making your reservations. To quote Maui, “You’re welcome” to come back to planDisney anytime. Wishing you all the pixie dust that many Hawai’i voyages are on the horizon and that you and your travel group successfully makes those bookings together!
